Windows, doors, balconies, installation

A website that helps customers compare options and move to a survey or quote

People rarely buy from the first screen. They need to understand the difference between options, see real work and guarantees, get an orientation and make the next step easily — especially on mobile.

This page is based on recurring issues found during manual reviews of real windows and doors websites. It does not assume that every website needs a rebuild or promise more leads.

Recurring issue

On mobile, the route to a quote can disappear among navigation, banners and product choices

Across several manual reviews the sites were content-rich, but the primary action was not immediately readable on mobile.

What we check

Whether the next step is visible without searching: survey, quote, call or message.

What we do not remove automatically

We do not remove catalogues, banners or additional services just because there are many of them. We first identify what actually blocks the journey.

Before inquiry

Customers need more than a list of products — they need to understand the difference between options

Profile, glazing, material, installation, warranty and options matter, but they are easier to understand when organised around the customer’s actual task.

Technical specifications remain available, but the first choice starts from the customer’s task.
Before survey

Real projects, installation, warranty and clear responsibility often matter more than promotional adjectives

The customer is inviting a surveyor into their home and making an expensive decision. The website should help verify who does the work and what the process includes.

What builds trust

Real projects, clear survey and installation terms, warranties, brands and profiles without exaggeration, address and contact details.

What weakens it

Outdated photos, vague promises, inconsistent phone numbers, technical errors or unclear company status.

Primary action

A survey form should collect only the details that genuinely help prepare the next contact

For some companies, phone and address are enough. Others may benefit from property type, number of units, area and photos.

Structure

Separate pages are useful for different customer scenarios, not simply to increase page count

New windows, repairs, balconies, doors, shutters and gates are different tasks with different next steps.

New installations

Comparison, configuration, survey, installation and warranty.

Repair

Fast technician call-out, problem description, price orientation and service area.

After launch

We measure actions along the path to a survey, not how “pretty” the page is

Phone clicks, messengers, quote CTA, form opens and successful submissions create a useful basis for later decisions.

Scope of work

Not every company needs a new website

You can start with the mobile journey or survey page and stop there if that solves the real issue.

Focused improvement

CTA, mobile menu, form, contacts or one key page.

System-level rebuild

Service structure, catalogue, cases, forms and analytics only when the old foundation genuinely gets in the way.

FAQ

What to check before a full rebuild

Do we need a price calculator?

Not always. If the final price depends on a survey and configuration, the calculator should provide useful orientation rather than false precision.

Do we need to rebuild the whole catalogue?

No. If the catalogue works, start with mobile navigation, key categories, CTA and survey flow.

Phone or form?

It depends on the sales process. Emergency repair may be phone-first; new glazing may benefit from a form with parameters or photos.

Can we keep the current ecommerce platform?

Yes. The platform itself is not the problem if it supports the real customer journey and measurement.

When is analytics useful?

Before large changes, it is useful to know which pages lead to calls, forms, messenger clicks or survey requests.

Small first step

We will check the path from choosing a solution to measuring

We will look at mobile, key categories, CTA visibility, trust and quote flow. If a few focused changes are enough, we will not recommend a new website.

Website for initial review

Email and website address are enough.

Thank you. We received the website.

We will review the key pages and send a short initial assessment to the email you provided: whether the available solutions and the next step to an estimate or measuring visit are clear, and what is worth changing first.
